本人多年来利用世界上先进的生物技术与分子生物学方法(如: 细胞培养,基因克隆以及转基因)从事动植物发育方面的研究。主持和参与了多项国内外重大科研项目。关于STAR蛋白,COX与前列腺素受体基因的研究处于国际领先水平,研究成果得到国际同行的认可。固醇类激素合成,激素受体作用,STAR,COX以及前列腺素受体基因表达对卵母细胞发育的调控等方面的论文发表在著名的国际刊物,如:<<分子及细胞内分泌学>>、<<生殖生物学>>、<<内分泌学>>、<<固醇类化学及分子生物学>>及<<美国科学院研究进展>>。曾获美国德克萨斯州理工大学博士后研究论文比赛第一名。所指导的博士后, 研究生及本科生参加了六十多次国际学术会议并作专题报告,九篇学生论文在会议上获奖。除了科研外,担任分子生物学, 细胞生物学,生物技术与基因工程课程的教学。
目前在中南林业科技大学我们进行珍稀濒危植物珙桐和水松种子败育的分子机制,以及油茶脂肪酸合成酶基因功能等方面的研究。细胞分化机理、基因表达调控,以及转基因方面的研究是解决生物医学领域,农林业生产中面临的许多技术难题的基础,与医药,农林业生产、生物资源的利用关系极为密切,对人类健康以及农林牧渔业生产等都将产生深远的影响。
